Another pair of twins this morning. Honestly, there must be something in the water.

I had a lovely weekend, and I do hope everyone had the same.
Students, do remember my lecture from last year. And First Years, take care to ask one of the older students about the consequences of fornication. And birth.

I delivered my first (and likely only) set of quads yesterday. The poor mother, but at least she didn't have to push. Practically came out smelling like a rose - I think I was more exhausted than she was. Three boys and a girl.

The general Healers at St. Mungo's are so busy that I've been pulled from maternity to help. If anyone is concerned about a loved one, the Welcome Witch at the front desk has a list of names, but you will have to speak directly to a Healer once we have confirmed your relation to the victim.

While I don't agree with corporeal punishment for students, especially these days, getting a full education is important to succeeding in this world. So many students can't see one, two, five, tens years into the future, when they'll need an education to get a good job and support themselves.
Alternative arrangements should be made available to those who have other educational wishes than to attend Hogwarts though. My parents strongly considered sending me to Beauxbatons.

Exhausting past few days. Worth it, but exhausting.

Perhaps instead of a lecture on sex education, students ought to be given a lesson on proper dueling etiquette and the laws of the land.
An Unforgivable done by a child. Honestly, is this what the world is coming to?

It seems I am to have a chat with the students of Hogwarts this weekend and next about sexual reproduction and the safety that one must take while indulging in it. I look forward to it. According to the Headmaster, there will be mandatory attendance, and the school will be split by gender. Males will have the morning sessions, and females will have the afternoon sessions.

I had a patient today who gave birth to identical triplets. Given how rare they are, I am now the only Healer at St. Mungo's who can say they have delivered identical triplets. Two were quite small, but they are all healthy and breathing on their own, and the mother is in good condition.
It is days like today that remind me why I got into this field of healing to begin with. Everyone else must battle death; I have the rare opportunity to help create life.

I wish the hospital would change the brand of coffee they use. With how much we all drink, you think they would be better to us and use something other than an off-brand.

It never fails. Whenever I have a day off, someone I know comes into the ward or some terribly interesting case shows up, and the other Healers snatch it up before I get the chance.
I'm considering working every day from here on out. It isn't as if I've anything else to do other than be bothered by family, and I'd much rather be at the hospital than anywhere else.
